No, you can't. Not in a million years.
Airline security will prevent you baording the plane unless you open your bag and surrender the knife.

You may be able to mail it to somebody at the destination....

If you know the address you are going to when you get there, I would send the knife UPS. It will get there and you won't have the hassle of trying to explain it to security at the airports. Have a nice trip.

Knives are very controversial at the moment in the UK because of the amount of knife crime. It may be confiscated by Customs

Absolutely not. Strict terror rules enforced and they'll confiscate. Mail it ahead to a friend, postal box or the one it's intended. That's the easiest and you can insure it for a minimal fee.
