Do you remember Mark & Lard? I think they should have never got rid of them, most days they brought me to tears with laughing. I have a couple of there albums they did as The Shirehorses, they were great!!

Mark's on Radio 2 at 10.30pm and Lard's on 6 music. You're quite right, surreal and bizzare, they are sadly missed.

Bingley Bingley ...Bong.
Was at Manchester Uni during their hayday. Was very funny watching them at our summer ball and supporting Blur.
I did think that their show did get a bit formulaic in the afternoon slot - they were never able to match the content put out in their evening (10pm ish) slot which was riotous.
However, I do miss their stuff now and occasionally find myself listening to Mark Radcliffe on Radio 2 (I'm getting old) when Zane Lowe gets a bit too much for me

No, I personally can't stand Radio 1! They talk far too much and the humour is really childish toilet humour. I prefer local commercial radio despite the adverts as they play more music and talk less!

yeah, on radio 2 now, sometimes i quite prefer radio 2, as 1 does my head in sometimes, same music over an over, just chart dance stuff mainly, but alot is still v. funny...

they were great! NOOO NEEED!!!
I loved chris moyles in the afternoons too but its not so funny in the mornings lately.
Think they should scrap fern cotton and sara cox though, not my cuppa tea at all. Love vernon though!
