♡Where are you from?!? ☆"Whether or not a visa is necessary in order to enter Japan varies by nationality. For details, please refer to the "Guide to Japanese Visas" Section II, "Exemption of Visas."
*For example, Americans may travel to Japan for up to 90 days or less WITHOUT a visa, they are granted upon landing "a temporary visitor status" for a period of 90 days. ☆You do need a valid passport that is current and that will not expire within the next six months. If you have questions regarding visas needed for Japan you can find all the correct information here at the MOFA site:
http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/
Please check the information provided for YOUR country. Take a look at the List of Countries and Regions That Have Visa Exemption Arrangements with Japan here↓
http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/02.html
Hope this helps, enjoy Japan!♡

It depends what nationality you are!!

Go to Cyn's second link, and if your country of nationality is on the list you won't need a visa. They'll just stamp your passport when you get here, and that will be your tourist visa - nice and simple!! If you country of nationality is NOT on the list, then you WILL need a visa! So go to your nearest Japanese Embassy
http://www.mofa.go.jp/about/emb_cons/over/index.html
and get one! (Phone first, to make sure of the opening times, and don't expect it to be quick! Japan is taking longer now to grant visas because Japan is now a target for terrorists, just like America and Britain.)

And remember, it doesn't matter what country you are IN now - it only matters what NATIONALITY you are!! (If you don't realise that, you might not realise that you DO need a visa!!)

yes, but one week isn't enough time. You need almost a day to get there, so you'll be jet-lagged out. For a week, go to Cancun.
