Nuremberg rallies were huge political rallies held annually by the Nazi party (NSDAP). The amount of people that came created a huge energized crowd so people left feeling very persuaded to believe in the Nazi cause.
Another reason for their importance was that Hitler spoke here. All ages were invited to attend. Special camps were created for nazi children to attend.

Edit: It seems other answerers are confusing the Nuremberg Rallies with the Nuremberg Trials. These are two very different things, but the latter was strategically planned in the city to show that Nazism and other powers like it would not be tolerated.

There are lots of sites. You may be able to find pictures or film by Leni Riefenstahl. The main purpose was propaganda.

Famous? You mean notorious, site of the celebration of Nazism and National Socialism. The site of party rallies during the Third Reich.

The fact that it shows the folly of humanism. People are easily duped. Even when they know that the person duping is probably a madman. George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Pope Hadrian IV, John L. All nazist wern`t killed! Ther were 99 cases, many of them were sentenced to life prison! After 1961 all were free!
But the most important people werent there Hitler, Goebels and Goering!
Eichman was covered by american govermand in south africa, dr. Mengele escaped to South america...
Gen. Von Paulus was soviet prisoner, that saves his life. If he was carged in Nurember hi would be dead like Keitel and Jodl!
