No! Sorry, but it is not Pluto, not Sedna, not our tenth planet (we still officially have only nine planets). Planet X was never discovered, and its existence has been disproved.

Planet X was the name for a theoretical large planet thought to be orbiting beyond the orbit of Neptune. It was thought to exist because of discrepancies in the orbits of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. During the search for Planet X, we discovered Pluto in 1930 ... but Pluto was way too small (it's smaller than our own moon) to be Planet X.

However, new information from Pioneer and Voyager space probes finally *disproved* the Planet X theory. First, they recalculated the masses of the outer planets, and second they found no discrepancies in their orbits.

So the Planet X theory (a large unknown planet) is dead.

However, we have found plenty of small planetoids beyond Neptune, most of these (such as Sedna) smaller than Pluto. None of these are categorized as planets. However, last year we found one (not Sedna) a bit bigger than Pluto. This is currently called 2003 UB313, and may be categorized as our tenth planet later this year.

(By the way, the 'X' has nothing to do with the roman number 10. It just meant 'unknown'.)
