It seems that America either loves him or hates him. The teenagers who didn't hear the classic hip hop listen to him and buy into him as a great him hop artist because of his story and because of his fame and success. There are many great rappers who have less success than 50 cent who deserve more than him.
Honestly i feel the same way about him as i do Eminem. I feel they both acted or abused gangster music to get into the rap game and gain success and then went to slower or songs with less relevence to gangster rap. 50 cent releasing candy shop , Eminem released Shake that, Superman, and Just Lose it. It seems as though he is trying to be more of a comedian than rhyme about issues of the world or his life, probably because he is over paid and overrated.

He did what most artists can't do - GO MULTI-PLATINUM. Then on top of having multi selling albums, he made a movie and produced other albums that went Gold ( with the help of Dr. Dre & Eminem of course ). So I can't hate on him. I must say he can change his name from loose change to cash money, 50 dollar bill or something.

1 great rap hit... it wasnt even his true style it was manufactured by dr dre. but...
he appeals to people because he lived the "black american dream" ...he rose from the street to the public eye though dealing drugs, stealing and hurting people instead of kissing *** at a 9-5 like the rest of us losers. plus he survived getting shot which in the thug community is manlier than a 10 inch ding dong

He makes good music but he is too unattractively big and bulky to be so full of himself. On the other hand he is one of those that hypes himself up so much it gets contagious and you can't help but like him a little. Then you hear him on his records and he's the biggest a**hole. So there you go... sometimes I like him sometimes I don't, but I do respect him as a successful artist.

His music is very relevant to 2day. " Get Rich ..." was exceptional. Heart, Guts, well acted & directed. The man WAS shot NINE times, he is still here for a reason, obviously.

extremely thuggish,childish, and dumb. he keeps waaaayy too much drama (unnecessary drama) going on in a day and age where violence is used to solve everything. it's already been plenty of shootings inspired by him, his lifestyle, his music, and his movie. he uses his music to bash other artists. cant stand him.
