I hate going to the doctor, plus for me going to the doc is expensive. I had/have an ingrown toenail in my big toe. It got red and sore. My skin started peeling on top of that red area(myskin seem to always peel w/an ingrown nail). I saw a small amt. of puss when i squezed on it. I soaked it in warm saltwater, put peroxide on it, and put antibiotic cream on it. In a few days it go a lot better. I was able to see the ingrown nail and I clipped it into a square where it was diggin into the skin. My toe is still a little red but does not hurt almost at all. The tip of the corner of the toe is a little tender..i guess cause i clipped the nail ( cause I keep messing w/ it to try an d get the rest of the nail out if its there) Its not totally clearned up yet, but the improvement is astronamical. Should I still go to the doc., I really cannot afford it.

The only place that hurts is at the tip of the corner where the ingrown nail was. My toe is still red and peeling. I continue to put peroxide on it.

No, it sounds like you handled it. Just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't grow back in the same way.

now, to make sure it doesn't grow back (I know this from personal experience) take a file and file the top of the nail until it is rather thin and flexible, but don't file it all away.

File the top of the nail and also the sides, this will make the nail go straight ------ and not curl around.

You might have to do this once a week for about a month depending on how fast your nails grow and how thick they are.

I HAD THIS subject!!!! A nightmare! SO I had to offer up utilizing razors. I permit my hair strengthen completley out which took approximately 3 weeks. in the process the three weeks I soaked in warm water (no longer too warm) to sit down back the ingrown hair and scrubed my legs. Then finally I have been given my legs waxed and havn´t had a topic seeing that! you would be super purely stay far off from the razors!!

OK--NOW LISTEN.. When your toenail starts growing back from down in the corner and gets painful again(PAY ATTENTION TO THIS--IT WORKS)---GET A TINY, TINY PIECE OF TOILET PAPER OR TISSUE. ROLL IT UP BETWEEN YOUR THUMB
AND FINGER INTO A TINY LITTLE ROLL. PUT IT BETWEEN YOUR TOENAIL AND YOUR SKIN. MAKE IT SMALL ENOUGH THAT YOU DON'T FEEL IT WHEN YOU PUT ON A SHOE.
DON'T EVER,EVER !!clip your nails into the corner! Either FILE
straight across or clip from corner to corner. Don't ever pass the corner of your nail. It will be SO PAINFUL! when growing back.OK? You Are Welcome.

only if it gets worse. keep it covered with an antibiotic. the doctor will make it numb and then put sciccors underneath your nail to cut the side off. i don't care how numb you are that hurts

Go to the doc, as you may not have gotten all of it and it could infect.

I ALWAYS CUT IT OUT MYSELF. IF IT DOESN'T HURT ANYMORE, REST ASSURE THAT IT'S ALL OUT.
