You said win the cup not win a match. They have no chance of winning the final of the world cup. There are way too many teams with outstanding talent that the USA would never be able to challenge. You simply can't be serious in asking this. They were thrashed in their match. How would they possibly defeat the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands to name a few. No they will not come back and win the cup.

Win the Cup, no way.
But, if they defeat Italy outright, they have a chance to advance to round 2 (where they will most likely be spanked by Brazil).

Its near impossible. Italy is in my opinion the best team in the group and it will be difficult for the U.S. to beat them then they come back and play Ghana which is a tough team. I believe the U.S. will lose to Italy and tie with Ghana which will eliminate them in the Group stages of the cup.
