I think in a few years you will regret that he is so old. Go out with your friends, party, be young and have fun!!
He is old enough to be your dad, and in a few years you will probably think he is acting more like your dad than you want him to.

age DOES matter - i've dated guys that were much older than me (like 17 years) - really it just comes down to being at totally different places in your lives, and even though you think it won't matter "because your in love" or whatever - but it really does. besides, when it is that big of an age difference the older one is usually just looking for a trophy right now - or has some serious issues. and the younger one is looking for more of an acceptance - or are lost in their own issues & think that the relationship is the solution.

My parents had a 15 year age difference. They have been divorced for 20 years now. I look at it this way. When you were born your boyfriend was like 19. Ewww a 19 year old having sex with a baby. Just my opinion, others think differently and are entitled to their own.

I can tell you that if he makes you happy then you should stay with him and who cares what the age is. Age don't matter when it come to love. I should know. When I meet my ex husband I was 17 in a half and he was 45 years old. So there was a bigh age difference there. If you love him and he loves you then you should stay with him.

I am 48 and my wife is 33, this past Saturday we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary and we are BOTH happier now than we were on our wedding day! If you love eachother, go for it!
Don't let age be something to stop you. She keeps me young at heart and very healthy.
I'm sure you will do the same with your man.
I wish you the best of luck and a very long and happy relationship with him.

See it depends upon your compability. If he is elder to you he may not take you seriously on certain issue and there is lot of diffrence how a 24 year old girl thinks and how a 43 old yrs man thinks. just taken an example there is a lot of diffrence on what you think and your father thinks? I THINK YOU SHOULD END THE RELATIONSHIP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

If he makes you happy than nobody elses opinion matters.I don't think the age differance between 2 people that care about each other matters.Your both over 18 so you cares what people think.

men take a lot (underlined and bolded) longer to mature than women. I dated and was eventually engaged to a man 12 years older than me. It was one of the best relationships that I ever had, but I eventually saw that he was grooming me to be what he wanted and not letting me be me. We would make plans to do things with his friends, but whenever I wanted him to do things with my friends, he would never want to. I would make sure that he treats you as his equal. I would also not rush into marriage just because he is older. I would also be upfront with your parents about it. It will show to them that you are mature enough to handle it. Also take into consideration if he was married before and has kids. If he has never been married ask him why.

A good man is hard to find and great sex is even harder to find!

My husband is 17 years older than me, we are still very much in love. Coincidentally he is a GREAT father because he is older and he knows his stuff in the bedroom! He makes me more mature in some areas and I make him relax in som areas. Go for it girl!
