Snoring can be related to a very serious health condition and it would be best if he saw a medical specialist about this. It requires a sleep study most likely by a qualified Neurologist - snoring or Sleep Apnea can cause serious cardic problems with people. They sometime prescribe CPAP or oxygen for people who have snoring problems. I don't know if it will help the snoring or not but it's worth a try - at least make sure he gets seen by a doctor for it. This CPAP device if it is prescribed might block some of the snoring - but it's basically a mask that fits over his head - so I'm not sure if that's best or not - but regardless if it's serious enough to keep you up at night - it's serious enough to get they guy to a doctor. It really is a medical problem that might be treatable.

How to stop your partner from snoring may not be the best question in this case. You may want to consult doctor if he is suffering the Sleep Apnea.
There is a reason why your partner is snoring. Also, if he is suffering Sleep Apnea, he is likely to have some other health issues such as high blood pressure and other cardiovascular disease, memory problems, weight gain, impotency, and headaches.
Once he is diagnosed, there are means, such as CPAP machine (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure), to help him.
Please check below link for further information on Sleep Apena. (I'd rather like to have you read more formal explanation than mine so that you can make your own judgement)
http://www.sleepapnea.org/info/index.htm...
This CPAP machine or sometimes BiPAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure) machine is a very small mechanical ventilator designed to help the patient with Sleep Apena.
Unfortunately, public is not aware this serious Sleep Apnea as you find answers from others....

Thankfully, I've never had this problem. A friend of mine had a boyfriend who snored, and she made him try Breathe Right Strips. She swore by them.

They have those strips you stick on the nose, helps them breathe better and stop snoring as much.
Breathe Right strips I've seen on TV and know people who've used them.

They sell nose strips in drug stores. Or go to doctor and see if he has a deviated septum, that is a big cause of snoring. If all else fails just punch him in the stomach or roll him over on his side.
