yes, definitely. The New World did need to be discovered. It was fine on its own.

We? We? I wasn't here yet. It wasn't even my ancestors. It was the English, the Spanish and the French who did this, because America didn't exist.
And most of the Indians died because of the diseases we brought which they had no immunity to. As for the land, the Europeans never considered natives to be worthy of owning the land.
And the Indians were unable to withstand the population pressure of the larger, more cohesive, stronger and more technologically advanced European culture.
Yes, the US government did some reprehensible things to the Indians, especially the violations of the treaties. But that's all water over the dam at this point. You cannot turn back the hands of time. And it was all done decades before my ancestors ever arrived on these bountiful shores, and many decades before I was born.
It's just a nothing statement, not worth spending energy on. It is pure sentiment.
Don't forget that in the days before independence and in the war of 1812, the Indians had allied with the French and the British and massacred civilian settlers. They also have a lot of blood on their hands.

Well, we landed in Eastern America, moved our way across the continent and "took over" with no regard to what the indiginous people held sacred. We treated the Native American Indian in an abominable fashion..i.e. Trail Of Tears. And since their numbers left are quite small, I would say that that it would look like a history of terrorism or genocide to them.

I think the word "terrorism" refers to the techniques used in warfare. Based on this the settlers were more of an invading force then terrorists. Still heinous but nontheless accurate. I think in American history our battle for independence was more of a terrorist act in the beginning. The Boston Tea Party etc..

Americans were terrorists against their leader. America was under British rule before she rebelled and started a revolution. That is terrorism.

They're called native americans. And yes, the "pioneers" were terrorists. They even used biological warfare - small pox - against the native americans.

Sure we were. But we were much more advanced than the Indians. They learned alot from us.
They were also foolishly uncompromising. They had more than enough land, but were unwilling to share. Ergo..manifest destiny

It is common knowledge that the native Indians were massacred by the whites. That was mass genocide at its worst.

No. We were invaders and conquerers. Terrorism is hate motivated. The white man was motivated by economic glory.
