I started my period on Sunday the 4rth (in June) and There has been hardly nothing in my pad for the last day. I might be going swimming today, and i don't want to leak. Should i wear a tampon, or will that like hurt my body?

Use the tampon, that makes it sanitary to swim and no it won't hurt your body.
Have fun.

You should know your body better than us... but I would probably wear a tampon, just in case. It won't hurt your body. I don't know how old you are, but you sound like you might be a teenager. You could use a "mini" tampon and it will fit just right.

If you are too scared, you can opt to use a super thin pad... then go to the bathroom right before you go to swim and remove it. Nothing will happen to you in the water... actually you won't hardly bleed in the water.

Then, as soon as you come out of the water, go to the bathroom again and use another thin pad.

That's what I used to do in that situation. It works great and nobody knows anything.

You can wear a tampon, and no it will not hurt if inserted properly. But since you haven't had anything on your pad for a day then I would just go swimming without anything ( pad or tampon)

WoW, do you normally have 10 day periods? Well, if you are still spotting then a light tampon would ease your mind about leaking. It shouldn't hurt unless you have it in wrong. Tampons are safe.

No you should not wear a tampon, because I heard on the news years ago that they cause toxic shock syndrome. It is best if you wait until you are over with your periods. If your periods do get really bad like mine did, you should call your gynocologist and he/she may help you. You may have to have surgery to correct your period problems, because as you get older, your periods will worsen, and that is not very good. So call you gynocologist because that will steer you in the right direction alright.

Of course you can swim-use a tampon but be sure to change it often (risk of TSS). I grew up in Florida and our periods never stopped us from swimming. Have fun !

It's fine to wear a tampon in the water. Just make sure you insert it properly and it feels comfortable.

I can understand your fear. It's always better to be safe then sorry. Use the tampon. If you don't like to use them then don't go swimming.

If tampons hurt, nobody would use them. Put one in while you're swimming just in case.
