Seriously. Why? Whenever I watch the news and there is some sort of protest. These Mexicans are wearing bandanas over their faces.

Usually they wear them because they don't want to get dust and dirt into their mouths while they work. Trust me, I used to work with them on a farm. They probably do it at protests because they are used to it, or they want to hide their faces. Or maybe because it is a symbol of who they are. Could be any of these things.

I think it is for the same reason why the puertoricans do it at the Puerto rican day parade, and Americans bring the flag to international games (ex. the world cup) to make a statement - they are proud of where they come from and they want everyone to know it .

For many reasons: dust on their faces, intense heat..many mexicans work long hours outdoors, also it can be because that's how they represent their selves.

to stop the dust blowing in there faces allso shades the sun but its very dry and dusty in mexico so mainly to stop the dust
