Fair

Really it depends on what you did that embarassed her. If it was something that you would have gotten grounded for anyway, then it is obviously fair. I can't really say if it is fair or not right now because I do not have enough information. Just look at it from her point of view, or try to, then go talk to her or apologize nicely for embarassing her at least. Just be calm and respectful about it.

Heh, why don't you put yourself in your mom's shoe, Savannah? I mean how would you feel if YOUR daughter embarassed you at McDonald's (Not impying that HAVE a daughter :) ).

It is hard to say if the decision is fair but I guess that is all up to you, When you put yourself in your mom's position, imagine that you are being put through the embarassing moment and see if that would be bad enough to ground the person responsible :).

It is not fair at all. I have a aunt that thinks she know's everyting. And when you try to tell her something she thinks its because you think she dosn't know what she is doing or talking about. But just do the month of punishment. Im sure your mom will come to the realization that she's being unfair. That's your mom so just countinue to love her.

Yes, embarrassing your mother is a crime.

What did you do exactly? Must be pretty bad if you aren't willing to let us in on the details.

sounds like she reacted out of anger... she should have waited until she cooled off to punish you...what did you do? pull her pants down in front of the crowd? now that ...maybe anything else and I don't think that sounds very fair... have you tried an I'm sorry???

A month is a bit much. I'd say 2 weeks and extra chores.

It sounds a little harsh, but without knowing the actual circumstances and the history, I cannot really say.
