I don't know about now, but awhile ago, Quebec wanted out of Canada. If they separated, likely, they'd soon figure out that being sovereign was not easy. Would you in the USA accept them into your country?

Good God, NO! We'll take the sane English-speaking provinces, not the lunatic French one. Those people are insufferable and have nearly ruined Canada.
I'm just trying to figure out why so many non-Quebecois want to keep those loonies as part of your country? I'd have let those deranged semi-frogs loose long ago.

I have always thought that if Quebec left Canada that eventually the western provinces would become American states. I have a friend who is a member of the Canadian Conservative party and she believes that if that were to happen the Democrats might as well pack in in. He view was two Republican senators from Manitoba Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, not to mention the extra congressman.

I seriously doubt that the people of Quebec would want to be Americans. After all, they insist on speaking French, and there are a lot of Americans who complain about immigrants not speaking English.

Somehow I doubt that a Congress which named "French fries" into "Freedom Fries" would be willing to take a group of French-speaking seperatists as our next state.
Besides, Iraq is the 51st state.

They'd have to be willing to make English, and not French, their primary language.
