We as humans, have a need to feel superior, one way we achieve this is by judging others, religion is our most effective tool. Never mind that the bible says God will take care of this, we choose to ignore this good advise and pick out the different, and point out their sins. God is love, we are all God's children, stop the judgment, live the life, make the world a better place, and let everyone choose how they will live, after all, they are accountable for their lives.

I don't know about all religion, but the Catholic one I am familiar with.
I think it has a lot to do with not being able to produce a child (adoption is not included). Anyway, I went to catholic and I fought with my teacher about all the crap they were feeding up, but they said that is how the religion is. They told us if a union between ANY two people would not result in children than that union was not recognized by the church. So this would apply to a heterosexual couple in which one person was paralyzed and unable to get an erection, or a couple that was sterile, and so on. So to me it seen that religion is not just against homosexually but against any relationship that cannot procreate.
Another reason that the Catholic religion is against homosexuality is that homosexuals are not allowed to be married in most places (which is wrong) and because of this the Catholic Church believes that homosexuals are living in sin. And that is all that I know!

because the bible says for a man to not lay with another man as he does with a woman

religion doesn't oppose homosexuality, but does say it's a sin

lying is a sin too
gluttony is a sin

and the bible says all sins are equal

it's repenting from sin that makes you saved, everyone sins, no sin is worse than any other

God is love. God loves you, even in your sin. That is why he WANTS you to repent from your sins, and ask for forgiveness.

Lets clarify something here! Christianity does oppose homosexuality but NOT homosexuals. I assume you are referring to Christianity because there are probably some false religions out there who promote homosexuality. Why not try reading the Bible?

god maybe love but there was an adam and an eve.... also when noah took animals aboard his ark there was a male and a female... this is what has always been taught in our church's and such.... but i believe just because it wasnt written doesnt mean it didnt happen.... homosexuality is not only present in humans... it has been seen numerous times in nature including dogs, cats, and monkeys, it is how you were born u dont choose to be that way... as long as its not hurting anyone and your happy it should be accepted... if your religion doesnt accept you for who you are believe in something else!!!!

In the Bible we read about what the apostles or other "religious" people believe that the GOD or Christ...said. You hardly read exactly what He said though...I believe they have manipulated meanings based on the era they were living - His words, His thoughts...Condemned was anything against his words...But who considered, who wrote, who judged...GOD? (=my personal opinion) . I believe in God because I need to believe in something higher but I choose to disregard a few things..The writers write He said, he did, .attribute .human attributes for the divine. Too general..(.for instance I am left handed and in the Bible only the ...righteous, ...dexterity, ...on his right side...are considered good...Hell is on the left side, ...left is considered sinister (sinistra), etc....The cross is done with our right hand...And lots of other things, which are irrelevant in your question.) I would relax, and think Big, otherwise I would the return of the times of witches, demons, and the rest...

I couldn't agree more. Sort-of. I don't believe there is a god. It just seems an excuse for intolerance and an "I'm better than you " attitude.

I don't know why people can't just love each other
