No. Thats ridiculus. I am pretty sure people like Hillary Duff had a hits album. Did she even release 2 albums? This crap is awful. You need at least 5 or 6 GREAT albums before you can release a greatest hits one.

I think it has more to do with the state of your career. Since Britney Spears' is over, I'd say a greatest hits album would be appropriate. Granted, the "hits" won't be that "great", but you only have so much to work with here.

Hell No! It's because no one today in Hip Hop or Pop can make an album that has more than one or two good songs. Music today is remakes of everyone elses music that was good. Most of these people coming out with Greatest Hits are to line up the few good songs from each album on one CD. Since all the other songs suck. Today's music is in a sad state......

why you have doubts? failure is the stepping stone towards success. i can surely have a greatest hits album out after releasing 1, 2 or 3 crappy albums. or may be without a single failure.
