Because they are not used to...as simple as that...try to get up early in the morning...its hard for few days, but you get used to it later.

They're are several answers to this question. It depends on the human biological clock. Most people have similar clocks, so that's why most people want to sleep longer in the morning. Their brain hasn't received the chemical to that tells the body to wake up until later on. However other people have different clocks and they are "early-birds." It also depends on the sun. If it's 6 or 7am, the sun barely has come out and the body needs time to realize it's time to wake up.

It has nothing to do with laziness, or motivation. There are over 300 known sleep disorders, the most common sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, insomnia, just to name a few. Many of these are caused by other diseases or conditions.Many people suffer from sleep disorders.

People who are not able to get up early are not properly motivated to do so. If I don't get up early every day I'll lose my job. That's enough motivation for me.

The hypothalamus releases melatonin ,which enables us to fall asleep.Its production is inhibited by photons ,hence one should avoid bright lighting when trying to sleep! Melatonin helps us stay asleep with incessant production throughout your slumber .Hence,when morning arrives production of melatonin recedes but it does leave us feeling groggy and sluggish.Thats the reason you can't leave those silken sheets so easily! Blame it on melatonin!!
