Earth moves arround the sun and sun moves arround the milky way in its orbitand in its apex well its because the gravity of sun and earth as positive and negative just like in atom the electron moves arround neucleus due to positive particles called proton and you know that electron carry the negative charge and negative and positive attract each other. Think if earth stop on one place and dont move what would happend let me tell you the earth temperature will get high and life will gone from earth worse earth will melt by sun heat.

the earth moves because a long time ago, it was put into orbit, and because if there are no forces acting on an object, it will want to move in one direction forever...but in the earths case, the sun is pulling it towards it so it goes in a circle instead of to infinity...

The earth's crust is not continuous. It is broken up into large sheets called plates, on which the continents rest. The plates are always moving, and sometimes the edges of the plates get stuck on each other. When enough pressure builds up, they break apart, and the resulting shock waves cause earthquakes.
