I beleive that we will soon be able to see each other while we are talking. If both people on either end of the line have the same compatible phone networks, they should be able to look at the screen of the phone and see each other while they are talking. It will be the next step-up for the camera phone. That would mean using the same technology as sending the still pictures to each other but just in constant motion. It may be a few years but I can definitely see it coming.

Consider nano technology... Imagine your future mobile phone is a just a mere microchip embedded to your brain!

It transmits sound waves to your ear drum, pick-up your voice, transmits multimedia messages to your eyesight, reminds you of important appointment, etc. If you want to surf the internet, just close your eyes and the "screen" will be virtually displayed on your eyelids.

The input device is another sensor embedded in your fingers. Just draw or tap anything down with your fingers and the microchip will interpret them accordingly.

What else, huh power source you ask... The microchip can be powered by the reaction between oxygen and ethyl alcohol (breakdown from carbohydrate) available in your blood stream, sort of "parasitic" but only as little as microwatts are required.

Can it be realized? Like it or not, someone will do it, someday...

I honestly don't know. We've already got cameras, MP3 players, music and ringtone downloads, web access....Maybe something GPS related. I also heard that soon you can get a chip in them to use as a credit card. They're already using that in other parts of the world!
