I am a HUGE dale jr. fan & it bugs me when people say he's overrated. He's a good driver & it seems like he's a really nice guy. That's one of the reasons he's so popular. He's not a jerk like some of the other drivers r. Jr. also can admit when he makes a mistake & he apologizes for it! How many times have u heard jeff, jimmie, kyle, or kurt apologize 2 anyone??

I think he's AWESOME....I actually like him alot more than I ever liked his father...he's the main reason I'lll watch races...I love it when he wins!!

the overrating thing comes a lot from him being nascar's golden boy..which stems from his popularity b/c of being an earnhardt. he was huge before people really got to see him in action.. overrating and being a good driver and good guy are kind of two different things.. he might be a good driver, but he's not the only on the track..
i mean, seriously, when they broadcast on nbc it becomes the dale jr show.. they focus on his car rather he's 1st or 43rd.. personally, i give a damn if jr blew his nose this mroning..but apparently some of the nascar broadcasters think inquiring minds might want to know what color the snot was.. people get annoyed, b/c they do believe there is more than one car out there.. and it's gotten a litte old, esp since 01..

He's overrated. Jimmy Spencer could run circles around this guy. Mark Martin is twice the man Earnhardt Jr. is.

Nope, still think he's overrated. Even when he's running 40th 5 laps down he'll still get more attention than someone who's having a surprising top-10 or -15 run, like Kyle Petty.

No, he is not overrated!!! I hate it when people say that too. He is a great driver. He might not be winning a lot lately, but he has consistent top 10 finishes and is 6th in points right now.

i think he's alright but what got me mad and i know its in the past and no he didn't apologize for this one, it was the last race before the first chase began in 2004 and kahne was in the top 10 both race and in ranking and he needed a top 10 finish to be in the chase and here kahne went to pass jr and jr moved and kahne wrecked and ruined his chances to be in the race for the chase.
