Try going to Canon's website to see if they made drivers for windows XP.

http://www.usa.canon.com/

If they don't have XP drivers you might want to try the closest thing just to see if it works. (Like a Windows 2000 driver or maybe even a Windows 98 driver)

Otherwise you may need to get a new printer!

Good luck!

You should not have any problems with that printer.

But you can look for a canon driver at
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=DownloadIndexAct

Pick PRINTERS, then BJC, then BJC 5100.

or try

Pick the driver for Windows 2000. This might be a better match.

If you cannot locate a WinXp driver, use Win2k drivers. Do NOT use Win98 or WinMe as they will not work properly (if at all). You can also try using a driver for a similar printer like a bjc-5200.
