No, everyone tells small lies on occasion, so to say you never lie is definately a lie in itself. I mean, if your friend gets a new dog, and you think its kind of an ugly dog, you dont tell them its ugly, right? And that applies to lots of things in life, from cars to hair styles.

it depends on the interpretation of what is a lie. some people may say a white lie is just a white lie & not a lie lie & then you have the lie but not really a lie since it is just said to be nice ie your new hair looks nice (when it really looks bad) is it a lie or just being nice. there are many conotations about what is a lie. I would assume that when this statement is made:

The persons intent may be to communicate that they never intentionally lie where matters are important. In that context it would mean that they may be being truthfull

I guess it matters on the persons intent & definition of context.

no because all people lie because it in there blood most of the time people who say that will never lie be the main one who lie to you so sometime they don't be tell the truth but you will never know
