Normally, I would say Shaun Alexander, however, with the departure of Steve Hutchinson, an All Pro Guard, I am going to have to go with Larry Johnson, who will be running behind 3 former Pro Bowlers, in Will Shields, Brian Waters, and Willie Roaf. Plus, you can't argue with stats. While Shaun Alexander may have broken the record for touchdowns in a season, per game, Larry Johnson has more fantasy value. Assuming that Johnson kept a steady average last year, He would have rushed for 2400 yards and scored 29 rushing touchdowns, as compared to Alexander's 1880 yards and 28 touchdowns. Clearly, Johnson has to be the number 1 pick in every fantasy draft.

first pick should be a superstar RB in most fantasy football leagues.
the consensus top 2 RBs this year are Larry Johnson and Sean Alexander, with Alexander being rated slightly ahead.
LaDanian Tomlinson is also a very solid pick, but probably not as good as Alexander or Johnson.

Obviously you want a running back because there are only a few RB's that produce huge numbers but there are quite a few QB's that can consistently get you a good number of points each week. This being said i would go with Larry Johnson or Tomlinson. If they are not available take Alexander. Your pick on taking L.J. or L.T. first. They are both equally good in my eyes but LT might get more carries due to the new QB in San Diego.

well you only really have 3 options. Johnson, Alexander, and Tomlinson. Though any would be a good pick I would rank them link this,
1 Johnson (preist is done)
2 Tomlinson (rookie qb he should get even more carries)
3 Alexander (solid #1 back)
Defintiely avoid taking a qb or wr, thats just insane. Since oyu will have the first pick you will also have the last pick in the second round and all the great rbs will be gone. you will still be able to get qualityt qbs and wrs later.

I would pick Larry Johnson he is on track for a terrific season. I cant belive how good he was the remainder of the season he played. He will score you big points. also never pick a wide reciver in the first round they would not bring as many points as a running back would. shaun alexander has too many curses.

Always take a RB first. I'd go with Alexander, who's almost guaranteed to get 130-140 and 2 TDs nearly every game.

the choice is obviously Larry Johnson. The way the finished last season, and with him now being the premiere back in KC, Herm Edwards will make him be the workhorse he can be.
i'd expect close to record beating numbers from LJ this season.

LaDanian Tomlinson!!! not only is he a superstar running back, he is a great screen pass option if your league counts Receptions and Receiving yards for RBs.
