How many things/feelings disappear with time? This is a personal opinion question as the answers will differ with everyone. Some examples are: physical beauty, love, happiness

physical beauty goes away. true love doesn't. even if you break up, it doesn't go away. crushes go away. happiness comes up and goes down, it's like a rollercoaster, but personally i wouldn't have it any other way. true friendship also lasts. even if you talk once a year, when you do you're as familiar as if you talked yesterday.

Everything fades with time. It is the nature of time. Even traumatic events fade, they may not disappear but they will fade in intensity. In order to keep something fresh you need to constantly work at the preservation of whether it be physical or emotional. Even so it fades, mutates or otherwise changes with time. While a memory may not disappear in entirety it can become less intense or slip into a place where it is only recalled with great effort or strange circumstance. Given enough time everything ceases to be as it is.

Once you have the experience, it's hard to erase it from memory. If you exercise and get sleep, the chemical processes don't stick as well with the bad, because the positive endorphines are released which makes you feel better. I have had enough bad things happen that one goes right over the other, although they will always be in my memory which is a sad thing. I have to keep on pushing myself to think in the present and the future, because the past is the past and it does not equal anybodies future.

I would suppose it depends on what you let whither and what you choose to 'water' in the relationship. Things that are important to you, you tend to keep and those that aren't you tend to let go.
Somethings you have no control over. Everyone ages, so we won't look like our vibrant young selves forever.
