Either 2000 or 2001. It depends on how you count. Do you count from 1-10? If you do, then 2000 was the end of the 20th century and 2001 is the beginning of the 21st. But if you count 0-9 (most people don't but it is the accurate form of counting) then the beginning of the 21st century was the year 2000 and it will end in 2099.
