well my mom is a registered nurse and she has had 3 different types of jobs:
she worked in the emergency room, she taught a class about diabetes in the hospital, and she does home care- where she drives to elderly people's homes and checks up on them (takes their blood, ect.)

Good question because I work in a hospital there is three kinds of nurses
1nurse Aid/Orderly (prepare stuff for the patient)
2-practical nurse give the patient his medication helps the RN....
3-The registered nurse which do all the rest follow up on the patient status describe medication...
