it is worse for me! i find myself wanting to rewind radio stations songs in the car and it got so bad i wanted to rewind conversations with people!!!!!

Constantly! Now whenever I go to someone else's house, I'm always thinking "what was that?" and I look for the remote. But alas, no rewinding is possible. And lately, I've even been starting to do it in the car, when listening to the radio. Like when the weather report has just played, and I think "did they just say tomorrow will be rainy?", I soooo wish I could rewind the radio.
I think it's time that we came up with a new term for this feeling, because it's a very powerful one that comes about when you realize that what just happened is gone, and can't be seen/heard again. Or that your show can't be stopped when something more important happens.... it's like a runwaway train...
How about "GonePlay", or "NoPausit", or "Unstoppable Single Household Instance Television". Hm, maybe not that last one.

my boyfriend works for direct t.v. and we have tivo, but i would love to be able to fast forward through commercials. sometimes they are so long and the show is so exciting to watch and you just want it to get back to what's happening. when i go somewhere else it is like spoiling a child with candy, once you've had tivo your spoiled to it.

All the time!! I especially miss it when my fiance is out of the room and something funny happens- without TiVO, I can't rewind to show him!

oh yeah! what's more, I will be listening to something on the radio and not quite get what was said and just for a second I will think, "hey, I will rewind". Oops! Love my TIVO!

yea i own two tivo's. and yea i do want to pause the other tvs in my house, and i want my friends house to get a tivo, so we can pause it when something really good is on!

We don't have Tivo but DVR on our cable. It's really annoying that the other tv's in the house we can't record, fast forward, pause, rewind..........

I have also tried to open my front door with the car remote as carolinayaya has.

i dont have tivo but i have dish network we have a think where u and pause and it is the best think you got get

Yes! I have one (well a DVR) in my living room, but not one in my bedroom. I've become a master at being able to watch 2 shows at once (my husband just doesn't understand). Just watch one until commercial, pause, swap to the other side, watch till commercial, pause, etc. Well it drives me crazy to watch ANYTHING in my bedroom because I am now FORCED to watch commercials and I hate it.
