We have a teletech in London, Ontario. I havent worked there but knwo many people who have. Here they pay about $15/hr, and although it is inbound calls, it usually involved sales in some way. I've worked at a couple call centers and in general, here are the pros and cons:

- Decent pay while you're in school or whatever
- Usually flexible hours
- Miserable! You will dread going to work. Trust me.
- Many have high turnover - if you can't cut it for sales quotias, you get a few chances and then they let you go.
- Overall, it's good short-term to make some money but I wouldn't give up an enjoyable job for this.

I've worked in a call center. I haven't heard of Teletech. I applied at a place that tries to talk people into not canceling their credit card insurance. You have to reach goals of getting so many people per day/week to keep the insurance. It would be a very hard job. If you think you can stand that much rejection everyday and still meet the goals they set you might be okay. Think carefully.

don't !!!!!
I work for a call center that supports HP notebook(laptops)
over the phone tech and hey not worth it
10 dollars per hour
crappy hours 5 am - 2 pm
with much mandatory over time at least one hour a day
the customers are usually retarded or irate
so my advice is to run run far away and no matter how greener the grass looks it really isn't

Pay is good, work is hell. Those places bring people in at a good wage, but you'll be burned out in 6 months unless you just lvoe getting screamed at.

But if you like technology, it's a good starter job to get into the biz.
