I love gays and lesbians, they are some of the nicest and most understanding and considerate people on earth. I don't see why people have alot of negativity towards them.

People of the mainstream always put down other "groups" of people in minorities. It seems to be an unfortunate characteristic of society that we lump certain souls into groups for poking fun at, laughing at and giving a hard time to. But then there are those among us who live on a more enlightened plane and love and accept everyone simply because God made them the way they are.

Because some people just do not understand. I used to be a little on the homophobic side at first, but then my sexuality changed unexpectedly. Now, that I'm bi, I respect gay, lesbians, and bisexuals more, and I understand now how hard it is to be one. So screw the people who don't like gays!

Many people have a strong need to feel better than another person. It has happened so much in this society to Indians, Jew, muslims, Asians, Blacks, Hispanics and basically everyone in between. Everyone wants to feel like their particular group of people are the chosen people, or the holy people, or however you want to put it. So they skim the bible, find the passages that work for them to elevate themselves by degrading another and then do it. I think If God would've knnown how human beings would use, misuse and abuse the bible, he would have never given it to us. Mean people suck~It will pass eventually.

If anyone actually knew the answer to that they'd be the wisest person alive. why are humans negative to any group, we're more alike than different. You know what I dont even think it matters so much why they do it, because you have no control over that. I think what's important is how you react to it. do you get all mopy, mad, hurt, frustrated and let them have power over you or do use it to make youself stronger and develop more compassion/understanding to other outcasts.

It is part of human nature that people will mistrust what is different or what they don't understand.
Very often, they will justify it with the most outlandish and ridiculous theories or quotes with no basis in fact.
Of course, sometimes it is the attacks that we face that make us more inclined to be compassionate and considerate. Sometimes it can embitter us, as well, unfortunately.

I don't know. Maybe the better question is why are so many people just "not nice"...because that is the crux of it all....people forget to be kind in general....and cause alot of pain to others. My rule of thumb is to be kind even when others are not kind. It drives them crazy!!!!!!!!!!
