I'm 21, I've been using tampons for 11years now and havn't had any problems until after my last baby was born. My problem is that they don't seem to position right, and end up either hurting or they get ruined when i go to the bathroom. I just don't understand what the problem is, I've been using them a long time I no how to put them in. Something seems to be different, any ideas or similar problems?

Either try a different brand or absorbancy, or you can try using Instead or the Moon Cup, or Keeper which are menstrual cups. The Moon Cup and Keeper are sized properly for women who have had children, and women who haven't. Instead is just one size which can be picked up at your local drug store. The Keeper and Moon Cup need to be done mail order.

My guess is that when you had your baby your vaginal walls changed. I think you should see your doctor, or if you have just had your baby then maybe wait a few months to try using tampons again. If sex also hurts then deffinatly see your doctor.

At 21 with a child I will assume you are adult enough to get regular check-ups. Therefore my advice to you is to talk to your gyn about it. Don't take chances by getting advice from people that are not quailified.

Try a larger absorbancy, one gets stretched out os shape with childbirth, and you might require a larger size.
