I was a wee kid in the 70s and loved that show, can you get it on DVD? Wasn't it hilarious when Peter Griffin (Family Guy), said he had a job at the Electric Company spewing words in silhouette form?

My biggest reason for asking was if anyone had any fond memories of the show.

I have The Electric Company dvd set and it's awesome! I was born in '75 but I still watched it when I was young and loved it. Anyone who remembers and liked it should get the set. It has 20 intact episodes. They are releasing another dvd set in November 2006. There were 780 episodes made, total, so we'll see how many get released.

As for Family Guy, I love it when they whip out obscure stuff from my childhood. When I saw them parody The Great Space Coaster intro I freaked out, cause I loved the opening to that as a kid!

It is available on DVD now (at least some of the shows). I saw it the other day. Most things on The Family Guy are funny, especially things from decades ago. I doubt that some of the younger generation even gets the joke.

Gosh, I haven't seen it since the 1970s. I always thought it was strange Spiderman, or Spidey, couldn't talk. The new Spiderman movies made up for that. I didn't like the show as much as "Sesame Street" or "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood," but only because I had a hard time relating to their theme music. That's all I remember.

OMG!!! I loved the Electric Company! I remember it back to the age of pre-reading. They would always put up the mystery word for the week on Fridays. I couldnt read yet and I would get so excited to find out the 'new' word. Oh, and the spiderman segments rocked too!!

The electric company rocked back in the day. It seems like it showed right around the same time Sesame Street aired, in the morning.

I do remember the Electric Company. I used to watch it all the time as a child. I wish they still had shows like that today that my children could watch instead of the junk they show now.

We used to watch that when it came on back in third grade. This was in like 82 so we had to stop and watch because there were no VCR's in the school.

I remember the Letterman and that really cool Silent e song and of course the best shows had Spiderman.

It came on after Sesame Street. It was the semi-enjoyable show before 3-2-1 Contact, which was way too educational and no stuffed animals.
