WASHINGTON (AP) -- Despite record low approval ratings, House lawmakers Tuesday embraced a $3,300 pay raise that will increase their salaries to $168,500.

The 2 percent cost-of-living raise would be the seventh straight for members of the House and Senate.


So I ask. What the hell??

In the same story it says that they are not likely to pass a raise in the minimum wage. Just keep voting repuglican folks, they need the extra money more then a single mom working at Taco Bell that is for sure.

You'll be even more pleased to know that they recently knocked down a bill that would raise the national minimum wage.

Must be nice to suggect and vote on your own raise. I wonder if they ever voted against giving themselves a raise? yea, like THAT would happen.......it could....and monkeys could fly out my butt too!

Alot of people would kill to make what you make. Be happy with what you have. Maybe it takes some time.
