Not necessarily. I've known a great many shallow gay men as well as the equal amount of those who are very nurturing.

It depends on the man, no group of people can be said to have the same traits in the same strength. Some gay guys are really caring and some are really shallow the same is true for straight guys. I think in general the more "opressed" one feels in life the more compassion/understanding they may have for other's treated them same way.

In my experience in relationships (sexual and romantic) with all of the above, I have observed that some men are more gentle and attentive than others, which has little to do with their orientation.
