What action would women have to take in order for men to become submissive in a world with money, war, sex and various methods (depending on skill and imagination) of power?

If you don't think it's possible, then why?

Example Answer: If women around the world refused to have sex with men unless they wore nothing but short skirts and high heels with no underwear in public, then we would become a threat to male civilization.

That was fun thought!

Make sure every woman on earth has control over her fertility.

Many women around the world are not in a position to refuse sex.

And many women who *are* in the position do not have the strength of will.

"The happiness of man is, "I will." The happiness of woman is, "He will.""
[Nietzsche, Thus Spake Zarathustra, Of Old and Young Women.]

Christianity was an attempt, and a quite successful one, I might say, to submit the male to the female.

"[Woman] needs a religion of weakness that glorifies being weak, loving, and being humble as divine: or better, she makes the strong weak - she rules when she succeeds in overcoming the strong. Woman has always conspired with the types of decadence, the priests, against the "powerful," the "strong," the men -. Woman brings the children to the cult of piety, pity, love: - the mother represents altruism convincingly."
[Nietzsche, The Will to Power, section 864, titled "Why the weak conquer."]

Thank God that He has died! Thank God that the Christian God is no longer credible!

"A humanitarian God cannot be *demonstrated* from the world we know: today you can be compelled to admit this much. But what conclusion do you draw? "He cannot be demonstrated to *us*": epistemological skepticism. You are all *afraid* of the conclusion: "from the world we know, a very different god would be demonstrable, one who at any rate is *not* humanitarian" - and, in short, you hold fast to your God and devise for him a world we do *not* know."
[ibid., section 1036.]

Is this "very different god" a devil? From a Christian point of view, the wild God Dionysus, the raging one, that frenzied pagan God, is likely to be considered (and has, in the past, often *been* considered) evil: his male companions, the satyrs - and he himself is the supreme satyr, the chieftain of the satyrs - have
been used as the prototype devil.

But my God is not evil! Being insane, he is not responsible for his
actions. They are passions, he can't help it - he does not have free will.

This is why the idea of a *mad* God is easily reconcilable with that of a "dead" God:

"That nobody is held responsible any longer, that the mode of being may not be traced back to a causa prima, that the world does not form a unity either as a sensorium or as "spirit" - *that alone is the great liberation*; with this alone is the *innocence* of becoming restored... The concept of "God" was until now the greatest *objection* to existence... We deny God, we deny the responsibility in God: only *thereby* do we redeem the world."
[Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols, The Four Great Errors, section 8.]

Note that Nietzsche first says "We deny God", only to rephrase it immediately as "we deny the responsibility in God". It is this amplification which shows there is still place for new Gods: but only for *mad* Gods, only for wholly irresponsible childlike Gods.

"All the children are insane"
[The Doors, The End.]

Its not possible. It would only happen if women all of a sudden became physically stronger than men over night. Then men would be in trouble. Otherwise it won't happen. Women want the same things as men its just that their methods of attaining it are not the same. Also even the strongest, toughest women mentally and physically want to be taken care of by a man. Its hardwired into them. Its just the way it is. Men are supposed to take care of women and women want that even if some won't admit it.

I don't believe that this could every happen because the basis of all power in the world is dependant on STRENGTH.

Whether Conscious or sub-consciously, the dictates of the strongest will generally out-way the weakest.

Women have been considered the weaker of the species for the simple fact that they will always be physically weaker and Power cannot be given or bestowed, it must be taken.

I'm surprised a woman who asked this question wouldn't consider the words "male civilization" a contradiction in terms. I dont think its possible-if you boycotted us of contribution to the world we'd just revert back to the old ways and attempt enslaving by brute force. If you witheld sex we'd obey the natural imperative of procreation and turn to violence probably to ensure the survival of the species. Women and men compliment one another well in this dualistic species. Without us you might be less driven and progressive. Without you we might be less sensitive and too brutish to have gone beyond tribal culture.
Maybe if we had one continent set aside for a matriarchal society-maybe North and south America and Eurasia set aside for patriarchal society then things'd get interesting. But we gotta live together.
Why ask this very interesting question?
Do you hate us or just out of interest?

In very ancient times, at least in ancient Greece, women had control. Their deity was female, there were priestesses, no priests. Heredity was matrilinear and it did not matter who the father was. Men were submissive.

i wonder if the world would be a better place if we went back to that culture. At least in matriliear society, there would be no such thing as an illegitimate child.

We just continue doing what we do best - let men think they have control.
Men are simple creatures - driven by sexual desire for women - the need to be thought as desirable by a woman has them jumping through hoops!
The arguments about physical strength are irrelevant - mental strength counts for far more. Most alpha predators in the wild (lions, etc) would easily kill an unarmed man/woman - it is our application of mental strength that has put us above them.

Something like what your suggesting is not possible, because it would require the cooperation of a lot of people all over the world to be effective.
Try to organize a 100 people in your home town to do something together, anything at all, about any one issue, and you'll see the problem.

Take away their beer, lazyboy recliners and remotes, they'll be crying like babies. Btw .. I would LOVE to live in a matriarchal society. Women rule, boys drool.
