All sorts of factors affect the suitability of the human body fluids to sustain life; these include properties like temperature, salinity, and acidity, and the concentrations of nutrients such as glucose, various ions, oxygen, and wastes, such as carbon dioxide and urea. Since these properties affect the chemical reactions that keep bodies alive, there are built-in physiological mechanisms to maintain them at desirable levels.
Homeostasis is not the reason for these ongoing unconscious adjustments. It should be thought of as a general characterization of many normal processes in concert, not their proximal cause. Moreover, there are numerous biological phenomena which do not conform to this model, such as anabolism.

for example, temperature,pH of blood ,salt content,blood sugar level.....all these are maintained perfectly by the mechanism of the organs in our body.pH of blood by kidney which regulates the content of H+ ions in the blood to maintain the pH of the blood, sugar level in the blood by liver and pancreas,salt content in the blood kidney,temperature by mechanisms like perspiration,etc

homeostasis is the process by which the body maintains itself. "Homeo" means same and "stasis" means state, so same state explains it all. when you have a fever that rises beyond your normal body temp. your have a positive feedback. when the body regulates itself to its normal state, you have a negative feedback. also when your body temp. drops down from the normal body temp. you also call it a positive feedback. negative feedback occurs when the body rises its temp. back to normal.
