I think something is wrong with me. Recently the last two weeks my breasts have been quite sore and now they are a lil bit numb. They are my natural breasts and I cannot think of what could be wrong.
I am scared to go see the Dr.
Has this happened to you? Any advice?

I am in my Mid 20's and I have larger and more breasts so I am very accurate abt the size bra's I wear.
Physically to the sight and touch my breasts are fine just soreness and numbness somtimes.

Breasts can become tender for a few reasons, but usually hormones are the culprit. Even if you haven't had tenderness in the breast area before, it can come on at any age.
(Pregnancy can include breast tenderness, as can delaying nursing if you are currently breastfeeding.) I assume the last two don't apply here, so if I were you, I would keep track of your periods and see if there's a pattern for when the tenderness occurs. If there is a pattern, it is probably hormones, and there's not much you can do about it.
You should also make sure there is no redness to the area; if there is, there may be an infection in the milk ducts, but this usually only occurs with breastfeeding.
Another cause for breast tenderness (more like breast PAIN), is fibrocystic breasts. A doctor can diagnose this, but it is characterized by "lumpy" breasts -- in such a way that these lumps change and/or disappear and reappear according to your cycle. The lumps usually appear shortly before your period, and usually dissolve after. These are not cancerous, just bothersome.
The only other cause I know of is if your breasts have been "manhandled" during sex lately. This type of tenderness can last two or three days, but you would obviously be aware of this cause.

Whats your age??? If you are about to have your first or second periods dont worry soreness and mild numness is ok. but if you are adult or have crossed your pubertal period carefully search any limp or enduration in your breasts and arm pits both side. And check your bra size, even too tight bras can cause numbness. and its always better to consult your gyne.

Not for that long, only around my cycle. But not the numbness part, I never had that. I also hate to go to the doctor, but sometimes you have to be a grown up and do it! Your health is more important.

i'm not sure but you could try ringing NHS direct if you are in the uk i really would go to the doctor though it may be a hormonal change or water retention and if you have been doing lots of exercise recently that could be a factor
hope you feel better soon :)
