Ignorance occurs in both parties, but why is it MUCH MORE prevalent in Republicans?

My experience has shown that liberals tend to be more open minded and educated, what do you think?

I think it is because they tend to be more greedy, they just voted themselves a pay raise but it don't look like they will pass a raise in the minimum wage. It has been a decade since the minimum wage has been raised.

Open minded? Tell me what happened to the Fun conservative wing of the Democrat party? Your party is moving further left leaving the middle behind and there is little outreach except for illegals and felons.
One plan that I am aware of is taxes and pay as you go is code for soak the rich. The party lacks Ideas.
When the Republicans were in the political Wilderness Newt had legislation for every democrat bill to show the difference between the parties. Pelosi has not done this nor has Reid. Haley Barbour at the time had a POSITIVE MESSAGE for the people. Howard Dean keeps putting his foot in his mouth. Dean portrays a Negative message.
Educated? Your party runs education in this country and it is failing miserably. JOHNNY is still graduating unable to read.Teachers Unions are about unionized teachers and not education and students where the priority Should be. Your party also has not changed it's message for along time. I am amazed that you have not questioned the wisdom of your leadership, Sorry I forgot when dissent happens in your party the dissenter is attacked and discarded. You can be pro-life but not vocal. The most educated and upper income places in the US are Washington, DC (89% Liberal), and Northern VA (70% LIberal). Liberals in fact ARE more open minded because they tend to be more educated and they have a well-rounded idea of the best way to proceed with an issue.

Liberals are definitely much more open minded, but not necessarily more educated. And being open minded doesn't mean you are any less ignorant than the next person. A generalization like the one you made in your question is perfect example of ignorance.

Like thinking Clinton's impeachment was about sex?
Like thinking Clinton was responsible for the robust economy he inherited?
Like believing the chicken little fairy tales about global warming?
Like believing Kerry was a war hero?
Like believing 'fake but accurate' stories of Bush's supposed AWOL from the ANG?
Like believing Social Security is anything but a disaster?
Like believing throwing money at Africa will solve its government and culture created problems (aids, poverty)?
Like believing the Constitution is a flexible or obsolete document?

Try showing some modicum of intelligence or education and posit one single instance of Republican 'ignorance'.

greed, arrogance, and no compasion. i hate to say it but republicans have no compassion for other human beings. the ends justify the means like bombig thousands of innocent iraq civillians to capture a couple terroirsts or ronald regans famous qoute where he labeled women on welfare as "welfare queens". shame on him and anyone in the party with that same view. not all republicans have these views but the leaders of the party have shown that they do. there are good republicans like john mccain but they need to take back control of their party from the far right which has gotten too powerful in the party and out of control.

Liberals are way more open minded that Republicans. We are always willing to have changes brought about, while the Republicans want to dig in their heels and keep things the way they are at all costs.

And I would disagree with the statement behind your question. I think that their are about the same amount in both party's and a lot of people who think anyone who does not agree with them is ignorant.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Most people claiming to be liberals, at least on here, aren't even old enough to vote, so I'd hardly consider them more educated.
