The world can end a a number of different ways. Horrible comet or asteroid, Our self destruction, or most likely in about 4 billion years as the sun's burns it last bit of hydrogen and start burning more Helium it will expand close the earth orbit and earth will be a burnt cinder. Only choice then is to move to different planets. Don't worry about the story book called the bible, its just there to scare little kids into behaving.

The end of earth and all the planets that we know of will occur on or before the end of our universe which is expected to happen about 300 billion years from now.

when us humans deplete all the natural resources, kill off all species of animals, run out of food or some idiot drops the bomb. Basically whenever humans destroy the planet.
