The best way to find out is contact one of your local small engine repair shops, or a place that sells and repairs lawn mowers or small equipment. The purpose for that cap is so others can't steal your gas or dump some junk into the fuel tank. They are mainly used in commercial use. See if their is a serial number on the cap before you call anyone, so you sound like you know what your talking about it will make things easyer.
