They are password encrypted. Even though you cut and paste it, you will not see the actual characters because they have been encrypted. Unless you have the decryptor to figure it out, you wont be able to retrieve it.

Mind you, a decryptor can be self-constructed. There are a million decryptors to every million encryptors, so its almost impossible to decrypt a password. Especially with the new 128 bit security encryption IE and Netscape uses on their browsers.

You might need a hacking software to get this accomplished.

They reason that passwords show up on your screen like that is for security purposes . And to keep spying eyes (such as over the shoulder readers, hackers etc. ) Now you wouldnt want everyone know what you passwords were to your personal stuff such as your bank accts . etc on here now would you???
Nor would you leave the door on your house Unlocked for theives to walk in to take your things ???
That is why the passwords show up on your screen like they do , is to protect you.
Hope this helps !!

There are several programs that will display the actual password in dialog boxes that echo the asterisks when you type your password. AsteriskKey is one that is freeware.
