[ NOTE ]
I would like to answer this question saying allergies or a bad thing on, Children are Grow-Ups.
You need to consult your family doctor your child's health advice should not come from the "Love & Friendship" section of Q&A.
Now there is a "Health" section in Q&A with some highly trained RN's that may assist you in some matters maybe.

Oh yes! My daughter had really bad eczema at 3 months of age and that's a form of allergy. She was allergic to my breast milk, because of the cow's milk I was drinking. I had to cut a lot out of my diet in order to continue breast-feeding, but I did it.
She still struggles with about 18 different allergies, (she was tested) but has them fairly under control with Zyrtec and Singulair.

Yup, especially if the parents have them. If the baby gets so stuffed up that it cannot sleep, you may need to go to the doctor. Just use the bulb syringe alot to get the snotty mucus out of the baby's nose. He'll hate it, but it helps. If medication is required, call your doctor.
