why do we need money?

Actually we do not need money. What we needed and need are values. Money is only the medium of a transaction and it was invented because it was really difficult to make any sort of economic transaction without it.

Nowadays we do not need money (in the classic way, bills and coins) since we can use credit-debit cards or pay electronically. Many economists believe that this is the new kind of many (plastic and electronic). Others do not consider it to be money especially electronic because it has no matter. Nevertheless what is behind the classic coins and a credit card is the same and that is the value of the product that defines for example how many eggs you need to buy a car.

In all types of economy humans have invented (capitalism, communism etc) the value of products and services were there. In communism you may not needed to pay for an apartment but you had to have worked for a certain period of time.

A civil society needs to regulate it's trade, industry and economy in a more fluid and portable way. Money is the answer to this need.
