treat him the same as i would a white, black, indian, jew or any other race or ethnicity on this planet or not this planet. its not about the outside of a person, but the inside. didn't they teach you this in kindergarden?

Actually most people would do good to be able to afford to live next door to us "gay" folks. Our neighbors don't seem to mind us at all. Our house is awesome and we throw the best block party's you've ever been to (only our sons 9th birthday party was better)....and yes there are a LOT MORE straight people at them than gay. If you can't handle living next door to a gay person you may some kind of social disorder. Also, I seriously doubt your gay neighbor even knows you exist. So you can either make nice or move.

does it bother you that much?
if it does, why dont you move, he has the same right to live there just like you do. you must be homophobic because you are asking this question. if i had a homosexual man living next door to me, i would come over and offer him some coffee and cookies. i have no problem with gay men

I do, too, downstairs. The former "he" is actually transgender, which, in a way, I guess means "he" is not actually homosexual. So, what do we do (have been here for years)?
We don't bother each other.
Ocassionally the water pressure is extremely low for hours and there may be smoke wafting up from the porch below. These issues cause me more grief than anything my neighbor could do in the bedroom, as they say.

rapidly lose interest, unless he was behaving in some way that disturbed my own living space, like cooking super foul smelling food, or cranking his strereo too loud, or leaving his garbage in the wrong place.
How's this? I live in a condo, and I'm trying to sell it. We have a common parking area, and my next door neighbors (hubby and wife) both have DUI records, and here in Ohio, DUIs get you a special yellow and red license plate, so anyone who comes by to look at my place sees these obvious signs of "duct tape technology, cousin marryin' white trash locals" that don't do a thing to make my property values worth a plugged nickel.
A gay neighbor, two doors down, moved out, and he'd made his place over, jacking up the price of his place, and now I'm left with drinkin', battling (they beat each other too, I've had to call the cops on them, as she was slamming him around one night) Ain't heterosexual love grand?
What do I do about that?

Why do you have to do ANYthing???? Oh, wait. This is the guy who asked whether it would be better to have a black guy or a gay guy live next door. Silly me.
Maybe treat him like a human being? Say hi when you pass in the hallway? It's not like you have to hang out, if you don't want to be seen with (gasp!) a gay guy.
When will the straight community EVER understand that we are PEOPLE, and being gay is part of who we are, just like being straight is part of who THEY are.

If I were you, I wouldn't *do* anything. I would just let him be and mind your own business. Especially since it makes you all weird and freaked out.
Now if it were me, I would bring over some kind of baked good that I made (everyone loves coffee cake) and introduce myself as the bisexual next door.

...And that's a problem why?!
I mean, if he bore a hole in the wall and watched you sleeping or abusing yourself that'd be one thing... If you can hear him moanin and groanin and headboard thumping, that's another. (In the latter case, be a nice, Christian boy and ask him to keep it down and leave it at that).
If none of the above applies, then shut the f#cK up and stop whining. He's not doing anything to you. Love and let live!
Damn! So freakin' paranoid! I bet you're not even attractive in his (or any gay man's) eyes. Get over yourself.

See at this point in my life, I dont care what people are. I am straight and want people to respect that beyond that I dont care what you do behind closed doors. That is your business. Besides I think gays are fun. They are great to be friends with.
