Bubbles - I am 100 per cent behind you. As a police officer, I paid 11 per cent of my earnings towards my pension. I also saved for my retirement by not drinking, gambling or eating out. I had camping holidays throughout. Now that I am retired, I find that because of my savings and pension, I am only entitled to a very small state pension, no help towards Council Tax and no enhanced pension rights. Why did I bother. Why didn't I piss it all up against the wall. The answer Bubbles, is that I still retain my self respect, am financially sound and continue to enjoy my life immensely. So try not to let it make you mad - you will win out in the end.... Good luck and God bless.............

what makes u mad the fact that they r getting help with the things they could never afford & R they disable or just scammers & lazy. I get mad too @ people that r just big liars & some how take advantage of the system. If there is nothing wrong with them & they could work a job, then get ur camera & send proof to someone who can do something & 10 dogs what does any one need 10 dogs for ?, but if they R disabled & truly unable to work, they do need a little help with there home but it sound & how is it they don't have to pay rent, do they have a friend on concil. Sounds pretty fishy

Yes it really annoys me as we have to work harder and harder to scrape a decent living and give out families the best we can but they get it all on a plate. They should be forced to work, dole should not be a long term option but they should be forced to do a certain amount of voluntary work every week (unless they are sick or disabled of course). The government should say if you are out of work for a year then you have to do at least 25 hours a week (more preferably) working in a charity shop or dog pound or a local park, it should be the law that if they want the dole money, they must give something back to the community in return. It's only fair seeing as it is our money they are living on.

I'm wondering where you live and what a "dole light" is...I assume some kind of welfare sucking, lazy, freeloading bums? Paid for with our taxes? Sure, They're everywhere. But, maybe you judge too harshly. There are people who actually need assistance. Sounds like you're resentful of anyone who gets more sleep than you.

It can be a little irritating, but only if you're focussing in them rather than yourself. Ignorant people can be more content with their handouts that intelligent, hard working people. Just be satisfied with the fact that you and your husband work for everything that your family has. Personal pride should out-weigh your negative feeling to the neighbours.

Work for what you've got and want.
The fact that YOU are satisfied with your achievements and the fruits of your labor... should not be at all related to the fact that they aren't.
Sometimes life isn't fair. If you waste your time contemplating that, then it's even less fair, and you've impacted on YOUR quality of life some.
Look at what you do have. Look at how your family is.
That is INDEPENDENT of "the Jones'"

Yeah, life is unfair. I work 60 hours a week and can't afford dental insurance, but speed freaks get free dental care from the state....that makes me mad too.

THAT'S LIFE! You seem like you are jealous of them, but YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! I would surely have the same feelings! But you don't know their real problems. They may seem to have plenty of money, but AS FAMILY THEY MAY NOT BE SO HAPPY. They may not love each other so much, for example! Just ignore them and take care for your own happiness!
