It's never wrong to do what's best for your family (within the law). If your family needs "income" and you're the only one that can provide it.... do so. If anyone else is providing income but your family needs more you should also work (if you can).

In my family, every able bodied person 16 years old or older is expected to have some kind of job and bring home a pay check. In this country, it is unusual for a healthy women to NOT have a job, unless the family has a lot of money.
