As we know, everything in our body has a certain function. When you menstruate, your uterus contracts, but why does it have to be painful? What is the purpose of pain here?

When you are menstruating, your uterus contracts (just like during childbirth) to shed the uterine lining and push out the blood.
Menstrual pain may also come from the bleeding process itself. When the uterine lining separates from the wall, it releases chemicals called prostaglandins. Prostaglandins cause blood vessels to narrow, impeding the supply of oxygen to the uterus. . While the pain is different from labor, the concept is the same. If you are having a problem with it, try drinking raspberry leaf tea, avoid cinnamon (it causes clotting and makes the cramps more severe) use a heating pad and an OTC pain reliever. I find ibuprofen works best for me.

I wish I knew why women experience pain during menstruation. Maybe the pain is what causes most women to get agitated, therefore she gets grumpy, hostile and miserable. Those qualities turn most men off, thus most men lose interest in having sex.

Womb weeps every month to remind all that an egg (ovum )is wasted.
The womb is expected to be full for nine months and deliver a baby with more pain. This pain makes the mother proud of her role.
This teaches us that women deserve a lot of respect.
