I have a a whole sleve and the top of my back inked. Getting a tattoo is a big decision. Yes you can cover them up, or get them removed, but your skin will always look "damaged" in the area of the removal. Tattoo's are very addictive too. Unless you have a horrible experiance with your first one, you'll probably go back for a second, then a third, and so on. Make the tattoo something that means something to you. Don't go and pick something off the wall at the shop, theres probably 1000 other people with that tattoo so be unique. Have friend that can draw make something for you, make it yourself, but be original. A tattoo is a memory. You'll always remember where, when, and why you got a particular one so choose wisley. Oh and make sure that you see the artist open up needles from new packages, and that he/she is always wearing latex gloves. Most of the time they'll switch pairs frequently is they are touching multiple things.

Design something original that reflects your own personality -- don't pick someone else's idea out of a book or off a wall and make it a permanent part of your body. A good tattoo artist will work with you to create a sample. Getting a tattoo should not be something you do because it is trendy or cool -- it should be an expression of your own individuality.

IF you do get a tattoo make sure you don't take our advice. You will be having it lasered off in a year or two. If you must get a tattoo it must be your own and personal, you are the only one that will look at it most often.

well i don't know to much about medieval stuff but just make sure its something you won't regret. I've always had a thing for those chinese dragon tattoos, if you stick to a basic black I think that would look great!

hm... before you get a tattoo, think of these things::

1. do you have young children (under the age of 16), if you do, think, is this the example i want to give them at such a young age??

2. if you're not boss, then,is this the impression you want to give him/her??

3. if you are looking for a job, ask yourself; is this what i want them to think of me?? when you go on interviews..

if u are still sure of getting one, here are my suggestions:

* a long tatto of the little mirmade or any other cute cartoon on your leg

* a dolphin on the top of your back

* a heart/ flower is good anywhere except for your tummy, neck, face (ew...) of any other ickey place....

good luck!! :)

The best thing is to go to a tattooist and have a look at their designs and if there is none you like think about designing one yourself as all tattooist don't mind people bring in their own designs.

Chinese or japanese symbols are popular, butterflies are too...or you could get something like a lotus flower which is a symbol for well-being...or something that means something to you personally...

Just make sure you really want a tat before you get one
