Are you concerned over the fact that some individuals are using the courts to sue fast food franchisees to excuse there act of eating there and getting over weight? Seems it simple enough not eat there but instead they are using the courts to shift the blame from their choices to the business itself. Am I the only thinking this is just a bit nuts?

Thank you for the clarification "beach bum" but since the nutritional menu is posted at my local KFC and it's available for the asking and is online anyone that can hire a lawyer could get the information. Should we starting labeling cars for the possibility of car crashes?

You don't need a warning label to tell you that a piece of chicken with grease dripping off of it may not exactly be healthy for you . And if you do than you have bigger problems other then obesity .

That is a bit off, everyone has a choice of what they do and not and anyone over a certain age can tell the consquences of actions taken.
I think that they should sue healther takeaway places for being alot dearer then the unhealther option (ie KFC). I know for a fact that if i had $4 i would be sure to get a better filling meal at Maccas or KFC then i would at healther alternative

GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
KFC is being sued after they were ask to warn their customers about the abnormally high amount of trans fats in their foods.
No one is blaming a fast food restaurant for making the fat... that's like blaming the school that you are stupid.
If you would do some research on these cases, of which it is obvious you haven't, you would learn that the courts recognize these as legit cases because these fast food restaurants add extra fat to their foods. So, what results is a huge deference between 'reasonable assumption' and the real amount of fat in the food.
For example, if you eat a Big Mac, you know it's fattening but it surpasses the level of 'reasonable assumption' because did you know that Big Mac had 4 times the daily limits of trans fats.
So based on this they were ask to warn their customers but they refuses... they will lose in court.

You're not the only one thinking this. It makes me wonder if the judges presiding over these cases are as dumb as the person bringing the suit. Maybe the judge is learning something he/she didn't know?
We have enough warnings on every item we buy, it's impossible to educate every slightly ignorant person on the planet. But ignorance should not be a legitimate reason for initiating a lawsuit. That is unless as I stated above, the judge is equally ignorant and in need of some guidance in order to make a rational decision.

I think suing a fast food place because of weight gain is the person's way of not taking responsibility of there own actions. they didn't have to go to KFC I'm sure there was a subway or quiznos somewhere near by. hell they could have just eaten a dang salad and not fatty foods. I personally am getting tired of people blaming others for there own problems. its as bad as parents who blam McDonald's for there child being FAT because they are stupid to admit that they are to lazy to cook good food for there kids.

I admit that my life keeps me going. If it wasn't for fast food, I wouldn't eat. Sadly, that's made me a bit bigger than I'd like. But I'm not going to sue because thier food made me fat. I drove up to the restaraunt, I ordered the burger with cheese, and I ate it. I accept that.
I don't get why other people can't. Why can't we just accept that we're responsible for 99.99999% of the stuff that happens to us?

As a smoker who has been mugged by the ABA (lawyers) and who received no support trying to defend myself against them, all I can say is you asked for it and now you have it.
There is no limit to who will get sued now. And all because people were duped into supporting the fallacious "second hand smoke" nonsense.
Oh, well, let's all become lawyers.

Since KFC announced users about his food before eating, you are not allowed even to blame them
