I mean the ulcers that are caused by a run-down immune system. I get them all the time, not sure why, but they really hurt. How do I get rid of them?

Little sores on your tongue can be from different things. Sugar candy or tart candy, gum, Different toothpastes. etc.I suggest finding what it is that may have caused it to begin with. Mine was Aquafresh Toothpaste,so I swtiched brands. To treat them so they do not hurt use oragel or some type of numbing gel to get rid of the pain.

There is a over the counter product called ULCEREASE it doesn't taste all that great but it relieves the pain of the ulcers and causes them to go away. Also there is a toothpaste put out by Rembrant that is designed for canker sores and ulcers. Helps to prevent them. My dentist has even prescribed a dental paste that I can put on the ulcer it works too.

Ulcers on tongue, insides of cheek, on lips(inside) are mainly due to low immunity, stress.

But if they keep occuring esp. with associated skin rash around mouth they could be Herpetic. Need to see the doctor especially when they are active. Herpetic ulcers though they heal by no scarring, they do recurr for very long time as the virus causing them is always with you till death. It never dies.

You're best bet is to just wait for them to heal on their own, but if you're desperate, try hydrogen peroxide mouthwash - diluted in water, or drinking some herbal tea.
